My client asked for something from the Disney + show, Mandalorian, for her 15-year-old. I couldn’t resist creating the adorable Baby Yoda! This huge cake was six layers of vanilla sponge, raspberry conserve and vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream in the body and rice crispie treat for the head. Baby Yoda was finished in hand painted fondant and his head was hand sculpted in Italian Saracino modelling chocolate. His dewy eyes were made with Isomalt sugar and wafer paper pupils and finally, the birthday boys’ name was printed in Star Wars font on edible icing sheets. This cake served 30 people and cost £110.
